In The Beginning
God created man, and man needed company, but not too much so then he created restoration projects.
I hope to share my experiences with others that are like minded and just insane enough to try this type of project themselves.
I found her advertised for $600, so in a moment of insanity I decided I should buy her sight unseen except for the pic above.
The picture does not really portray her true condition, she had been left out in the weather for a number of years, bilge full of water, assorted leaf debris and mud so it was odds on the she had her share of rot being a 40 plus year old wooden boat.
As an added bonus she even came with her own ants nests, she is rough but certainly restorable, well I hope

The Plan
Like all projects having a plan is the way to go, so I organised the project into steps
* Clean
* Access damage and work to be done by priority of safety, preventing further damage then repairs / improvements
* Make a time line in which to get the project finished - Highly important or it will just drag on forever
* Make safety and works to prevent further damage (Treat and cut out rot)
* Conduct any structural repairs needed
* Complete non structural repairs
* Paint and customize to my requirements
* Sit back with a coldie and admire my work (The most important step in the process)
